The meeting featured Deborah P Kolodji's visit to Japan in 2019, and we presented a joint reading performance of our triptych, "MEIJI-Jinguu", "ASAKUSA", "INOKASHIRA-PARK". It is a great honor for me to support her presentation. Ms. Kathabela and Ms. Deborah, thank you very much for those unforgettable and happy moments.。 |

April 2, 4:00 p.m. PDT (Apr. 3 8:00 a.m. JST), I participated in Friday Poetry Meeting presided at by Ms. Kathabela Wilson, and performed improvised reading of tanka both in English and in Japanese. |

The meeting featured a collaboration of English Haiku and photos taken by Ms. Deborah P Kolodji, my best friend, when she came to Japan in April 2019. It was a wonderful time for me to be able to relive the days when she stayed at my house. |
 |
Thank you very much, Deborah. I sincerely hope that the days will come back soon so that we can travel back and forth between our countries. |

March 26, 4:00 p.m. PST (Mar. 27 8:00 a.m. JST), I participated in Friday Poetry Meeting presided at by Ms. Kathabela Wilson from Inokashira Park where cherry blossoms are in full bloom. |

Accompanied by Mr. Rick Wilson's Shakuhachi flute play, I was able to present my bilingual tanka reading in a gorgeous atmosphere. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude toward my dearest Mr. & Mrs. Wilson. |

This meeting featured Ms. Yvette Kolodji, an English Haiku poet and an artist. Appreciating her creative and innovative art surrounded by Japanese cherry blossoms which she loves was a precious time for me. Thank everyone for all. |

Mr. Hiram Silms was the feature poet in this event. His poems led me into his distinctive and unique world, and inspired me a lot. |

February 25, 1:00 p.m. PST (Feb. 26 6:00 a.m. JST), I participated in Thursday Poetry Zoom Meeting presided at by Ms. Kathabela Wilson. Ms. Deborah P Kolodji and I performed reading of our new English Haiku & English Tanka sequence which we created together. It is the tenth sequence we created together. I once again realized that how happy I am to be able to collaborate with a poet being in tune with each other. |

Participants from the U.S., Canada, Japan and France gathered and had active discussions. This international meeting inspired me a lot. For everyone in the meeting, thank you very much. |

"red lights", an English poetry journal, posted my new Tanka sequence.
This sequence was created in this autumn in Inokashira Park where few people were due to coronavirus pandemic.
I am very honored with the proposal from Ms. Marilyn Hazelton, the editor of Red Lights, saying she wants post the sequence as a whole, because it is rather a normal practice that editors selects one piece from the sequence to post in their poetry journals.
I would like to send my sincere gratitude toward Ms. Hazelton.

February 19, 4:00 p.m. PST (Feb. 20 9:00 a.m. JST), I participated in Friday Poetry Meeting presided at by Ms. Kathabela Wilson, and performed Japanese - English bilingual reading of my new Tanka sequence. |
 |
Although my sequence was about my honest depressed emotion, I felt that the participants understood my feeling very well, and I was able to have confidence to establish soul to soul communication. Ms. Cynthia Anderson's superior collaboration of images and poems, which was the feature of this meeting, inspired me a lot. |
 |
Also, the other participants presented their unique and free-minded works. I believe that it is the broad-mindedness of the organizer that let out all the participants' free expressions. I would like to thank to everyone. |
