お知らせ

I am very honored that Mr. James Evert Jones invited me as a featured speaker in his reading event, "Spoken World Live."

I would like to express my sincere gratitude toward him. I will do my best in my reading performance.

The event will start on March 12, 2:00 p.m., PST (March 13, 7:00 a.m., JST).

"red lights", an American tanka journal, the editor and publisher Ms. Marilyn Hazelton, posted my tanka sequence in its Vol.18, No.1 January 2022.

After a long way of travel via international postal service at the time of great difficulties due to the Corona pandemic, the journal somehow seemed to be relieved in my palms under the cold, clear sky after the snowfall.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Marilyn. Thank you very much.

Gods or Devils

will you
permit me to fly
in the air?

2
so happy
in the strong arms
of the updraft
I am lifted
into the Autumn sky

this flight time
of paragriding
I'd like
to stay in the sky
forever ...

4
without
fear and worry
remaining
beside a cloud in the
peace of nothingness

January 19th, 4:00 p.m. PST (Jan. 20th, 9:00 a.m. JST), I participated in the Wednesday Poetry Zoom Meeting presided at by Ms. Kathabela Wilson.

I had a chance to perform a reading of my new English tanka sequence about a mother and a child, and also enjoyed an improvisational collaboration with the other members.

Although it has been a while since I attended the meeting last time, I was fortunate to have many fresh inspirations.

January 5th, 4:00 p.m. PST (Jan. 6th, 9:00 a.m. JST), I participated in the Wednesday Poetry Zoom Meeting presided at by Ms. Kathabela Wilson.

Although I felt a bit under the weather, I presented a piece of my English tanka, and my fellow members submitted their poems one after another inspired by mine. Soon, it turned out to be a tasteful sequence!

It felt like the beautiful glow from every one of the poems presented shines our bright future.

My sincere thanks to Ms. Kathabela Wilson and my fellow members for this impressive and provocative opportunity.

Although we are still under the threat of continuing Covid-19, I feel that my 2021 has been protected by bright sunshine derived from the efforts to move forward together with my fellow artists.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all my fellow members.

December 26th, 4:00 p.m. PST (Dec. 27th, 9:00 a.m. JST), I participated in the  Poetry Zoom Meeting presided at by Ms. Kathabela Wilson, which was called at the last minute. I presented a piece of my tanka which I created remembering the NSW Christmas Bush tree I planted 14 years ago in Australia in service. I heard that the tree I named "SAKI" is growing well and tall.
