November 2025 Reading performance in London

November 21st, 2025

Hazel Goldman, the owner of Grove Guest House, kindly invited her fellow artists and creative people to come and enjoy my reading performance of the Japanese-English tanka sequences.
After the performance, we enjoyed a lovely late autumn afternoon chatting about poetry and percussion over a lovely meal and wine.
I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who came despite the cold weather, and to Hazel, who organized everything from the invitation to the party. Thank you so much.

November 22nd, 2025

I would like to thank President Iliyana Stoyanova for inviting me to the BHS(British Haiku Society) Gathering, which celebrated its 35th anniversary this year.
I was honored to have the opportunity to have the members listen to the reading performance of my Japanese-English tanka sequence and to explain the new poetry form of "Tan-Ku."
Furthermore, Iliyana kindly arranged for everyone to create and present their own "Tan-Ku", which was a truly meaningful experience.
This was the 217th overseas Japanese-English tanka reading, taking place in 55 cities around the world.

November 23rd, 2025

Hazel Goldman, the owner of Grove Guest House where I was staying, kindly organized another reading on the 23rd of November for those who were unable to attend the previous Japanese-English tanka reading performance (on the 21st of November). This was my 218th reading overseas. Thank you to everyone who came despite the cold weather and enjoyed the event.
