I performed Japanese-English Tanka reading at Zoom Poetry Meeting which is presided at by Ms. Karen Mahashakti Gartner in Germany.
I recited 10 pieces of tanka which were published in the internet poetry journal, Einunddreibig Vol. 31, together with the German translation by Ms. Valeria Barouch.

Ms. Gartner told me that she wants her poetry-loving aquaintances to listen to my performance, and offered me another opportunity for Zoom Poetry Meeting, which will start at 11 a.m. of May 7th Germany time (18 p.m. of the same day, Japan time).

In the evening of May 1st, California time, I am going to participate in Zoom Poetry Meeting, which is presided at by Ms. Kathabela Wilson. I and Ms. Deborah P. Kolodji will recite Tanka & Haiku sequence "Distance 2020". I wrote English Tanka, and Ms. Kolodji did English Haiku.

I cannot post this sequence for the time being because it is unpublished work, but I will post it on my website after it is published in the next edition of poetry magazine "Basho". It is a great honor for me that Mr. Clayton Beach, the editor of "Basho" highly praised our sequence.

It will be my first experience to recite in a Zoom meeting, but I would like to do my best to be able to open a new door of my reading activity under the current condition.

Oct. 8th, I performed Japanese-English tanka reading at a literature event held at Sofia City Library, Bulgaria.

I tried my best to deliver message from soul to soul, because both English nor Japanese are not the audience's mother tongue.

I was very happy when the people gathered there were moved to tears, and gave me wonderful comments.
