I participated in Thursday Poetry Zoom Meeting on May 21, 1:30 p.m., US, CA time (May 22, 5:30 a.m., Japan Time), and performed tanka reading. |

I was a little late, but the fellow members welcomed me. |

Internet magazine “Under the Basho (2020)” posted “Distance 2020”, which is the Tanka and Haiku sequence written by Ms. Deborah P. Kolodji, a Haiku poet and my close friend, and myself.
I will be more than happy if you could spend time to read the sequence created by Haiku poet and Tanka poet in California and Tokyo respectively living under the global Corona virus crisis.

Starting at 4:00 p.m. on May 15th U.S. time (8:00 a.m. on May 16th, Japan time), I participated in Friday Poetry Meeting and performed tanka reading. |

The fellow members presented their own style of poetry such as free-form poems, Tanka, Haiku, Cherita and such. The style in which each one of us was inspired by each other worked out perfectly, and I enjoyed the session so much that I almost forgot the time passed by. |

To Ms. Kathabela Wilson who presided the meeting, Mr. Rick Wilson who greatly inspired us by playing Native American flute, and all the fellow members. Thank you very much for the meaningful time! |

Thursday Poetry Meeting in US, CA time. on 14th, 1:30 p.m.～ (Japan time, 15th 5:30 a.m.～ ) As I did in last week, I participated in Thursday Poetry Meeting in U.S. presided at by Ms. Kathabela Wilson. |

Many pieces of very unique and distinctive poetry got together beyond the boundaries of distance and time. In fact, I think that the interaction with fellow members rescues us from anxiousness. |
 |
I felt that sharing poems by reciting them face-to-face, even the pieces inspired by horrible reality, helped me to slightly lighten up my mind. |

I performed Japanese-English Tanka reading at Zoom Poetry Meeting which is presided at by Ms. Karen Mahashakti Gartner in Germany. I recited 10 pieces of tanka which were published in the internet poetry journal, Einunddreibig Vol. 31, together with the German translation by Ms. Valeria Barouch. |

Ms. Gartner told me that she wants her poetry-loving aquaintances to listen to my performance, and offered me another opportunity for Zoom Poetry Meeting, which will start at 11 a.m. of May 7th Germany time (18 p.m. of the same day, Japan time). |

On May 7, starting at 1:30 p.m., U.S. California time, I will participate in Zoom Poetry Meeting of S. S. Japanese Garden members presided at by Ms. Kathabela Willson, and am going to perform Tanka reading (May 8 at 5:30 a.m., Japan time).
On May 8, starting at 4 p.m., U.S. time, I will participate in and perform Tanka reading at Friday Poetry Meeting of Zoom version, which is also presided at by Ms. K. Willson (May 9 at 8 a.m., Japan time).

I am invited to the Poetry Zoom Meeting presided at by Ms. Karen Mahashakti G., who lives in Germany.
Starting at Noon on May 6th, Germany time, (19:00 on May 6th, Japan time), I will participate in the meeting, and am going to perform Japanese-English bilingual tanka reading (German translation will be offered in the meeting).
It is my first Zoom meeting with German poets, and I am glad to have this opportunity.
