I performed bilingual reading (Japanese & English) of "Both sides of Ocean", which I and my best friend Ms. Deborah P Kolodji, a talented English Haiku poet, created together. This sequence is scheduled to be published in "Kokako", a New Zealand Poetry Journal. |
 |
The opportunity to share our work with the fellow members in face to face gave me a brightness under the still-on-going Corona related chaos. |

Today, I brought my PC to my house terrace because it was a nice, sunny day, not too hot, in the rainy season, however, it was not appropriate to take photos of screen. Therefore, I selected some pictures for this report from the ones offered to me by Ms. K. Wilson. |

July 22, 7:00 p.m, U.S. time (July 23, 11:00 a.m. Japan time), I participated in Wednesday Poetry Zoom Meeting presided at by Ms. Kathabela Wilson, and performed reading of my Tanka posted in Colorado Blvd.'s Poets Salon: Masked Beauty. |

I made an announcement in Facebook about the Colorado Blvd.'s post right before the poetry meeting, therefore it was a great timing to perform. I am very glad about it. |

I was inspired by fellow members writing, imagery, and music presentations. It was a very meaningful time. |

July 19, 5:00 p.m., U.S. time (July 20, 9:00 a.m., Japan time), I participated in the Reading event, " Village Poets of Sunland & Tujunga" presided at by Ms. Maja Trochimczyk, and performed Tanka sequence "Borderless Prayers" both in English and in Japanese. |
 |
I am very honored to be invited as one of the three featured performers, and was given 20 minutes for my performance. We are still under Corona crisis, but I believe it is important for me to continue delivering poetry to the world via Zoom during the tough time. |

I would like to get in touch with all of you beyond the time difference and border. |

Although I was able to participate only the limited time, I was glad that today's attendants, who did not attend the Wednesday Meeting, enjoyed my performance. |

I played percussion and performed Japanese-English bilingual reading of "Meiji Jingu", which is a new sequence composed with Haiku written by Ms. Deborah P Kolodji and Tanka by me. |
 |
I was inspired by many artistic presentations made in the meeting such as various styles of poems presented by new and regular members, Shakuhachi play by Mr. Rick Wilson, and paintings and drawings by Mr. Robert Stewart. Thank you very much for the meaningful time. |

I performed reading of Tanka about the motif of a newly-displayed hanging scroll for summer season and Kingfisher both in Japanese and English. |

As always so, it was a rich and meaningful time for me because I was able to enjoy opportunities to get in touch with fellow members' artistic expressions such as poetry other than Tanka, paintings and drawings, and recorder play. Thank you very much. |
