2014_09_11_01.jpg At the moonviewing event at Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden in the suburbs of Pasadena, California, I performed reading of moon-related poems selected from Manyoshu as well as some from my works as contemporary tanka.
2014_09_11_02.jpg I was more than happy to receive appreciation towards Japanese 5-7 syllables sound from non-Japanese speakers, and it was a precious moment for me to deepen my respect for our culture and literature.

The event organizer, Kathabela Wilson;
TSA - Tanka Society of America Secretary.
