お知らせ

I am very honored to be posted in the facebook page of Tanka Society of America.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude toward Ms. Marilyn Hazelton, the president of TSA.

The post in Tanka Society of America's FB page

Tanka has the power to heal our broken hearts. That can help us from the hopeless terrible situation. I noticed that beside my Mother’s bed in the ICU hospita...l. She was sleeping like a beautiful baby or quiet Christmas Rose...
I kept writing tanka everyday, every moment to keep myself during her last 17 days.

Thanks to the great help from many of my friends and acquaintances, I was able to publish my bilingual anthology "INDIGO" from Shabda Press in the United States.

So far, I have published five books, including two bilingual anthologies, but upon the completion of my latest anthology, I am filled with very much refreshing feeling just like I felt when I completed the first book.

At first, I was thinking that my new book would be only for the readers overseas when I received an offer from Shabda Press. However, I started to think that the Japanese readers might enjoy it when Dr. Donald Keene, who embodies the bridge between Japan and overseas, gave my book such a wonderful endorsement, which is more than I deserve.

I will be more than happy if this small book turns out to be contributory to introducing Tanka overseas.
