performance_2012_11_29_01.jpg 1 Nov. 29, This is a brief report of the 7th International Tanka Festival 2012 hosted by the Japan Tanka Poets' Society held at Shonan Village Centre in Kanagawa Pref.

performance_2012_11_29_03.jpg Having Mr. Takayuki Saigusa as the moderator, the panelists, Mr. Arthur Binard, Ms. Sawako Akiyama, and Ms. Sawako Nakagawa had a vigorous discussion about translating Japanese short poem, including Tanka, into English. Opinions, questions and on-target answeres were presented, and it was a very fruitful discussion.
